There are not that many horse race meetings scheduled to take place today, for a wet and windy January day is never going to have lots of horse racecourses opening up their doors, however there are two racecourses that are offering a full card of runners and riders today and as such we shall take a quickly look at what we think are the best horses running at each of these two tracks.
The Exeter racecourse has a full card of races today all of which are sponsored by the 32 Red Group, the first race of the day kicks off at Exeter at 12.55, and it is this race that we will first take a look at for it is a Class four Handicap Chase which is being run over 2 miles and one furlong, and the makeup of the race is ideal for one of the horses pencilled in to run in it!
The horse we do like the look of is Ballycurrig, now on the last race this horse slightly stumbled which did affect his placing that day, however having learnt from that experience we do expect this runner to go on to bigger and better things, and as such we do think it may be worth having a small bet on it the hope it can up its game and get round the course with a clear round of jumping and if it does then it surely will make it to one of the placed positions and could actually win the race with quite a bit in hand!
The Southwell racecourse is also holding a full card of races today and thanks to this being an All Weather track, no matter what the weather throws at us today this race meeting should go ahead! There are several races scheduled to run at Southwell today however it is the 2.20 race that does catch our eye.
The one horse that has some of the best form in this race and that horse is Definitive Secret, the other runners have quite a lot to prove looking at their previous form and as such the currently available 4 to 1 odds offered on Definitive Secret does seem very generous and should appeal to a lot of punters, so do try and shop around on horse racing betting sites you may just get slightly better odds than 4 to 1 if you are quick!
