The 45 year old UFC veteran will still have has one fight left on his contract after Saturday night but will most likely retire in the Octagon as UFC President Dana White has told the media that he believes its time Anderson Silva walks away. Silva goes in as the betting favorite (+450) but knows that he is going to have a tough challenge in Uriah Hall (+150).
If Silva manages to get an impressive win against Hall, he could push Dana White to fight out his contract. Silva and White have a good relationship as ‘The Spider’ has done a lot for the promotion over the years.
However if Silva ends up losing or wins by a split decision, it is likely that he will move on to the UFC. Given Anderson Silva’s love for MMA, it does not look like he will retire from the sport completely. Expect him to move over to Bellator or ONE Championship.
The Main Card has some great fights apart from Silva vs. Hall. The co-main event will see an exciting featherweight clash of young Bryce Mitchell (+175) take on the experienced Andre Fili (+425). A big heavyweight clash will see the return of Greg Hardy (-130) take on Maurice Green (+350). If you are betting on this heavyweight fight, you might as well put some money on a KO as mode of victory as both fighters are heavy hitters.
The undercard also has some exciting fights which include Chris Gruetzemacher (+550) vs. Alexander Hernandez (+165) in a lightweight clash and Sean Strickland (+160) vs. Jack Marshman (+450).
