Most sports bettors who wagered on Super Bowl LV bet on the outright winner while some were more adventurous and wagered on different side bets. Bovada had a number of interesting side bets on the Super Bowl and one of them was whether Super Bowl LV would have a streaker run on the ground.
Florida resident Yuri Andrade was one of the bettors who decided to wager big time on this side bet which had +750 odds. The 31 year old rounded up some of his buddies and together they put down $50,000 on this bet.
Yuri Andrade and his friends were also in attendance during Super Bowl LV to see first-hand if a streaker would storm the ground and help them win their bet.
Their $50,000 bet would net them a total of $374,000 if a streaker did storm the field. Yuri Andrade and his friends also came up with a backup plan to hedge their bet. If no streaker took the field, Andrade would run on the field just to make sure they won the bet.

This was a carefully thought out strategy as the authorities are usually on high alert for streakers during the Super Bowl. Andrade and his friends planned a distraction when one of his friends pretended that he was going to run naked on the field. When all the attention was drawn to him, Andrade ran on to the field.
He was arrested by the authorities on misdemeanour charges and let out after posting a $1,000 bail. Andrade and his friends boasted of their brilliant plan and a number of media outlets covered the fact that they put down $50,000, paid bail charges of $1,000 and in return were taking home $374,000 in winnings. Not bad for a day’s work!
However, it appears that their brilliant plan will not play out as Bovada is not going to pay out the $374,000 in winnings. The sportsbooks is aware of the scheme that Andrade and his friends hatched and has launched an investigation into the irregularities surrounding this prop bet.
While a final decision is yet to be made on the matter, sources state that Bovada will not honor the bet and will also not refund the $50,000 put down as the sportsbook does not refund any wagers. In the end, Andrade and his friends are going to walk away with $51,000 in losses!
