UFC 265 makes a stop at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and MMA fans will pack the arena to watch homeboy Derrick Lewis fight for the UFC interim heavyweight title. Lewis will fight Frenchman Cyril Gane in the Main Event which will be a 5 round fight.
UFC bantamweight champ Amanda Nunes was supposed to fight in the co-main event on this card against Julianna Pena. The fight fell through after Nunes contracted COVID-19.
The co-main event will now see José Aldo and Pedro Munhoz who are two of the top Brazilian bantamweight fighters battle it out as they push closer to a title shot.

Derrick Lewis vs. Cyril Gane
Cyril Gane who fought at UFC Fight Night 190 has been a professional fighter for just four years and is currently undefeated. He is the former training partner of current UFC champ Francis Ngannou and is highly talented. He will have to fight in front of a tough crowd as the Black Beast is a fan favorite throughout the world, especially in his hometown of Houston, Texas.
Gane goes in as the betting favorite with odds of -375 while Lewis is a big underdog with odds of +300. Lewis has told his fans he is prepared to do 5 rounds with Gane but does not think it will go into the 4th round as he will finish the fight before.
Lewis has the most number of KOs in the heavyweight division and he wants to finish the fight in devastating fashion and get that UFC interim heavyweight belt wrapped around his waist. We are going to back Lewis to win.
Watch out for Vicente Luque vs. Michael Chiesa in the welterweight division, Bobby Green vs. Rafael Fiziev which headlines the preliminary card and the opening fight on the Main Card between Casey Kenney and Song Yadong.
José Aldo vs. Pedro Munhoz
Former UFC featherweight champ José Aldo was close to retiring but has made an interesting run at bantamweight after dropping down a weight class. He is the betting favorite with odds of -114 as he is the more experienced and established striker.
However Pedro Munhoz is one of the most dangerous strikers in the UFC’s bantamweight division and can stand and trade with Aldo shot for shot. He is a slight underdog with odds of -106. We think Munhoz will walk out with a win, most likely by decision.
