Conor McGregor and Daniel CormierUFC superstar Conor McGregor is out on the sidelines after breaking his leg in his last fight against Dustin Poirier on July 10. McGregor lost for the second time in a row to Poirier and is likely to be out of action for the remainder of 2020. However the former double champ is still making headlines by feuding with former UFC lightweight and heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier.

Daniel Cormier (DC) now works as a UFC commentator and was one of the broadcast team that called Poirier vs. McGregor 3 fight.

McGregor took issue to some of the comments that DC made during the fight and made his feelings clear on social media. McGregor believes DC did not call the fight correct and made errors during his commentary.

Hardcore MMA fans will know that the beef with DC isn’t just about his commentary. DC and former UFC lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov not only trained at the same gym but are also very close buddies. The feud between McGregor and Khabib did not end well for McGregor as he lost the fight and tapped out. McGregor has no love for Khabib and some of that dislike has rubbed off on DC.

McGregor took to social media this week to fat shame DC and also accused him of being drunk on the TV sets a day before the huge Poirier vs. McGregor 3 fight. McGregor posted two lengthy tweets pointing out that drinking on the job is grounds for someone to be sacked.

McGregor also reminded DC of his loss to Jon Jones when he got KO’d after being dropped by a head kick. He signed off with a quote that Khabib posted after the Poirier vs. McGregor 3 fight when he tweeted ‘good always defeats evil’ and asked DC if his loss to Jon Jones was because he was evil!

DC Uses His ESPN Show To Hit Out At McGregor

DC currently does an MMA show on ESPN called DC & RC. He responded to McGregor’s social media posts and reminded McGregor that he was now a retired MMA fighter and his weight was no longer any one’s business as he wasn’t fighting no more.

DC also told McGregor to stop focusing on what he does and start focusing on winning fights in the Octagon reminding him that he has lost 3 out of his last 4 fights!
