MMA superstar Conor McGregor is in trouble once again after news broke on social media of him punching a popular Italian DJ in Rome. McGregor and his finacee Dee Devlin have been spending time in Rome as they flew in to get their youngest son Rian christened in the Vatican.
Francesco Facchinetti was attending an event at the St Regis hotel in Rome and McGregor was also in attendance. There is no information as to why McGregor decided to throw a punch at the 41 year old Facchinetti.
Facchinetti and his 39 year old wife Wilma Faissol are very popular not just in Italy but in Europe as they have close to 1.5 million followers on Instagram. Facchinetti posted a graphic picture of his lower lip busted up and said it came at the hands of the UFC star.

His wife was very unhappy with what McGregor did to her husband and said that he could have killed Facchinetti as he was a trained professional fighter. Italian police were called to the scene at 5.30 but did not arrest McGregor.
McGregor recently made headlines when he threw a punch at Machine Gun Kelly at a party. The allegations were that McGregor wanted an autograph of Kelly and he declined to give him one.
Facchinetti said that he would have forgotten the incident if it was anyone else but he needed to teach McGregor a lesson because he could not let a professional MMA fighter hurt civilians. He accused McGregor of hitting him without cause and said real fighters do not carry themselves that way.
McGregor is currently recovering from a leg injury that he sustained during his loss to Dustin Poirier back in July 2021. He is keen to make his comeback to the UFC in early 2022 but it appears that he cannot wait that long anymore and needs to have a crack at regular civilians.
McGregor fans have been concerned about his mental well-being as he keeps getting himself in trouble frequently. There have been accusations in the past that McGregor is losing it and indulging himself in substance abuse.
UFC President Dana White is yet to response to the latest McGregor incident. We will have to wait and see what comes of the official complaint and if McGregor will get fined.
