Jan Błachowicz vs. Aleksandar Rakić
Błachowicz is keen to get a shot at the UFC lightheavyweight title again and get an opportunity to regain his belt. He might get that opportunity if he can register an impressive win against the dangerous Austrian Aleksandar Rakić.
Rakić has shown that he is a powerful striker who can stand toe to toe with the best in the world and trade punches. We don’t expect this to be a slug fest as both fighters have incredible power and can end the fight with just one punch. We expect this to be a tactical fight that involves distance, footwork and a lot of clinch work.
We think Błachowicz has the edge in this fight because he has more experience in 5 round fights and also we think he has better wrestling than Rakić.
Current odds: Jan Błachowicz (+165) / Aleksandar Rakić (-190)
On the prelims, keep your eyes open for a great strawweight fight between another Brazilian in Viviane Araujo (+100) and Andrea Lee (-120). This fight is hard to call as both fighters are evenly matched.
Also watch out for a third Brazilian female fighter in Virna Jandiroba (-180) who takes on the durable Angela Hill (+155) in the strawweight division.
Ryan Spann vs. Ion Cutelaba
The co-Main event also features an exciting lightheavyweight fight between Ryan Spann and Ion “the Hulk” Cutelaba.
This is another fight were both fighters have heavy hands and we think the winner will be the one can keep their emotions under control and use their jab to their advantage.
Current odds: Ryan Spann (+186) / Ion Cutelaba (-221)
Katlyn Chookagian vs. Amanda Ribas
Katlyn Chookagian vs. Amanda Ribas will get the most attention as this flyweight bout is on the main card. Chookagian fought champ Valentina Shevchenko for the belt and lost and is trying to get some wins under her belt to push for another title shot.
Standing in her way is the talented Brazilian Ribas who will take a big step towards a title shot if she can finish Chookagian.
Current odds: Katlyn Chookagian (-175) / Amanda Ribas (+150)
