India are 2-1 up in the four match test series and will be keen on winning the fourth test in Ahmedabad on March 4 and finishing the series on a 3-1 note.
India goes in as the betting favorites again with odds of 2/5 while England are the underdogs yet again with odds of 10/3.
Bookmakers have the odds of a draw at 11/2 but it appears highly unlikely as the weather looks good in Ahmedabad and a result is very much expected.

When England won the first test in Chennai and surprised India to take a 1-0 lead in the series, everyone expected the four match series to be closely contested. India bounced back in the second test in Chennai and levelled the series 1-1.
The third test which was a D/N test in Ahmedabad gave England a chance to bounce back and make use of the pink ball under lights. However, the third test was over in less than two days as England collapsed with the bat and had no answers to the spin of Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel.
England’s weakness against spin bowling has once again been exposed and pundits have accused the England team of giving more importance to the shorter format of the game and not concentrating on test cricket. England are down on confidence after being rolled over in the third test and will be on the backfoot.
England has one more chance during the fourth test to silence their critics and put up a better fight. Their biggest weakness right now is their batting and they need their captain Joe Root and vice-captain Ben Stokes to make some big runs.
England has given too much attention to the pitches in Chennai and Ahmedabad and have whinged. A lot of cricket pundits have pointed out that England prepares seamer friendly wickets when visiting teams tour England and should be expecting spinner friendly wickets when they tour India.
Given the fact that England won the toss in the third test and batted first, their complaints of a poor pitch does not hold much water. Joe Root and his team are expecting another rank turner in Ahmedabad and are arguably going in with a loser’s mentality even before a ball is bowled.
If you are a betting man, go ahead and put your money on India to wrap up the series 3-1.
