Canelo Álvarez continues to be one of the top three boxing stars in the world right now. The Mexican superstar is in a class of his own and will defend his WBA (Super), WBC, WBO, and The Ring super middleweight titles against Caleb Plant who is the IBF Champion.
Canelo is just 31 but is a boxing vet with 59 fights under his belt and just 1 loss which was back in the day to Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. He has 38 wins by KO and is keen to KO Plant as there is a lot of animosity between the two fighters.
Caleb ‘Sweethands’ Plant is just 29 and has only 21 fights under his belt, 12 of which came by KO. He is confident that he can stop Canelo and pull off a huge upset on Saturday night.
Canelo isn’t too worried about Plant as he says every fighter who signs up to fight him thinks they can beat him, until they step into the ring and eat one of his shots. There isn’t much left for Canelo to achieve in boxing as he has fought the best in the world and come out victorious.
However, he wants to keep going on as he loves the sport and is determined to get better with each fight, which is a scary thought for his opponents. BetOnline has given the odds for this epic fight as Canelo (-900) and Plant (+600)
UFC welterweight champion is determined to do a cross-over like Conor McGregor and fight Canelo Álvarez. Usman who has been a dominant champ for the last couple of years wants to test himself against the best boxer in the world.
Usman believes that a fight against Canelo will set record pay per views. We will have to wait for Saturday night to see if Usman beats Covington and if Canelo can run through Plant.
