England will go into the fourth test at The Oval brimming with confidence after trouncing India in the third test.
The five match test series now stands at 1-1 and the winner of this test will be in a great position to win the series.
The weather report suggests that there will be a lot of cloud cover during the first three days but no rain. However, days 4 and 5 are expected to be interrupted by rain.

England
Latest Odds: 2.25
Even though England did really well in the third test, they will make changes to the playing XI. Vice-captain Jos Butler will miss this test as he has taken time off to be present for the birth of his second child. Jonny Bairstow will take the gloves in his absence and Ollie Pope is likely to replace Butler in the middle-order.
Sam Curran hasn’t had a good run with the ball and is averaging 79.33 this series. He is likely to lose his spot to all-rounder Chris Woakes or Mark Wood. Unconfirmed sources say that England prefer to give Mark Wood a little more rest and bring him back for the fifth and final test. Bringing Woakes back would definitely strengthen England’s tail and increase their chances of getting a bigger score.
India
Latest Odds: 2.62
India could very well end up winning like the did for the second test or losing the fourth test based on the changes they make or don’t make to their playing XI. India have gone in with just 5 batsmen for all three tests but with vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane averaging 19 this series and Rishabh Pant averaging 17.40 this series, the batting looks weak.
India should consider playing the extra batter at 6 or replacing A Rahane with S Yadav. They are unlikely to do this as unconfirmed sources suggest Rahane will be given one more test. The batting is a big concern for India as even captain Virat Kohli has struggled for runs.
There are talks that Ravichandran Ashwin might take the place of Ravindra Jadeja while Shardul Thakur is likely to replace Ishant Sharma in an effort to strengthen the lower order. We will have to wait and see what the selectors decide.
The side that wins the toss and bats first are going to have a slight edge when it comes to winning this game. England go in as betting favorite while the visitors India are the underdogs. The odds for this game ending in a draw are at 4.33.
