The NFL will kick-start its 2020 season on September 10 when the defending champions the Kansas City Chiefs host the Houston Texans.
NFL fans will be happy to see the football season get underway as there were rumours earlier in the year that the NFL would cancel its 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While NFL fans are keen to see their favorite teams back in action, fans who like wagering on NFL games are even more enthusiastic to see if their betting picks will result in them making money during this NFL season.
The Chiefs have odds of +355 against the Texans who have odds of -445 with BetOnline

Given the fact that there are now 18 states in America with legalized sports betting, an estimated 33 million Americans are expected to bet on NFL games during this season. To put that into context, that is nearly 13 percent of the American population who will wager on the NFL.
Sportsbooks are keen to tap into this flurry of sports bets and are offering new players a number of special bonuses to sign-up and start betting with their sportsbook. The NFL which once opposed legalized sports betting is now encouraging bets to be placed.
The NFL and its franchises have so far signed a total of 26 data and marketing partnerships during the last 24 months to enable bettors to have accurate and up to date information when they place their bets.
The American Gaming Association (AGA) commissioned research firm Morning Consult to conduct a market research survey with regards to NFL betting. The survey revealed some interesting data where a total of 2,200 Americans were polled.
The data showed that 11 out of the 23 states which represent NFL teams have legalized sports betting available. Based on the 33.2 million Americans who will bet on the NFL, 6.6 million will place their bets at legalized retail sportsbooks while 11.3 million will place their bets via online sportsbooks.
The 11.3 million Americans who wager online will place their bets at a mix of legal and illegal online betting sites. This is because there are still a number of states that are yet to legalize online betting and bettors from these states will have no option but to bet at illegal sites.
The two favorites to win the 2020 Super Bowl include the Kansas City Chiefs (+600) and the Dallas Cowboys +1400.
