We take a look at the betting odds for four exciting fights on this card and give you our expert prediction.
Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns were training partners for a long time and both of them know each other’s game very well. Usman -275 enters as the heavy betting favorite against Burns who is the underdog at +215.
Usman has never been defeated in the UFC and has never been taken down once – which are phenomenal numbers and the reason why he is the champ and the betting favorite. However, we are going to back Gilbert Burns to win this fight. Burns is exceptional on the ground and has the skills to not only take Usman down but also to submit him.
We would not only bet on Burns winning this one but also go with a side bet and bet on Burns taking down Usman more than once.
The young and talented Maycee Barber returns to the Octagon after a year. The UFC has given her a tough opponent in Alexa Grasso who is the favorite at -125.
Barber has odds of -105 and will have a tough fight on her hands. We are going with the bookmakers and backing Grasso to win this one as she has improved her striking significantly and is good on the ground.
Ian Heinisch: -230
Kelvin Gastelum: +180
The bookmakers have Gastelum as the heavy betting favorite against Heinisch. Though we suggest you put your money on Heinisch for this one as Gastelum has suffered three consecutive losses and is under pressure to win this fight. Heinisch in our opinion has the better ground game and can match Gastelum in the striking department.
Rodolfo Vieira: -400
Anthony Hernandez: +300
Vieira goes in as the betting favorite with Hernandez as the underdog. Vieira has an undefeated record as an MMA fighter and is expected to win. However, he has a very tough opponent in Hernandez who has only lost 2 fights in his career so far. This fight should see a lot of mat time as both fighters have exceptional ground games. We would stick with the bookmakers and bet on Vieira.
