Our MMA experts take a look at 3 of the top fights on this card, analyse their betting odds and share their predictions on who they think will win.
Charles Oliveira vs. Michael Chandler
Charles Oliveira is the betting favorite with odds of -140. The Brazilian has been dominant in the lightweight division and is known for his submission game. UFC fans are familiar with Oliveira as he has been in the promotion for a long time and are aware of what he is capable of. Michael Chandler on the other hand has only fought once in the UFC but is a veteran of the sport.
Chandler has said that he is excited to test his skills against Oliveira as he knows how dangerous he can be. Chandler has great wrestling skills and is confident that he will be able to hold his own on the ground. If this fight goes into the championship rounds, Chandler should have an edge because of his superior conditioning.
We think Chandler who has odds of +115 is going to come out with the win and secure his second KO in the UFC.
Tony Ferguson vs. Beneil Dariush
This is a very important fight for Tony Ferguson after suffering two losses in a row. Ferguson is the underdog with odds of +150 while Beneil Dariush who is on a 6 fight win streak is the favorite with odds of -185.
Ferguson has made significant changes to his training program and knows a win over Dariush will once again put him into contention for a UFC lightweight title run. We expect Ferguson to bounce back and secure a submission win.
Shane Burgos vs. Edson Barboza
The tough and resilient Shane Burgos will take on veteran Edson Barboza in a featherweight clash. Burgos is the betting favorite with odds of -140 while Barboza has odds of +115. Both fighters are extremely tough and durable. We expect this fight to go to a decision and for Burgos to win.
