Alexander Volkanovski vs. Korean Zombie
Aussie champ Alexander Volkanovski will defend his featherweight championship against The Korean Zombie (TKZ). Volkanovski was initially set to fight former featherweight champ Max Holloway but ‘the blessed express’ got injured and the UFC gave the fight to TKZ.
Volkanovski is a heavy betting favorite in this fight as he is the better rounded fighter but don’t count out TKZ. If the fight is going to play out on the feet, TKZ will have a good chance to win as he is a great striker. However we expect Volkanovski to throw in some of his wrestling and keep the fight on the mat. Volkanovski has told media that he expects to finish this fight before the 3rd round and if he does not, he will be disappointed with himself!
Current odds: Alexander Volkanovski (-800) / Chan Sung Jung (+500)
Apart from the main and co-main event, one of the most exciting fights on the card is in the welterweight division. Former title challenger Gilbert Burns (+400) will give Khamzat Chimaev (-600) his biggest test in the UFC till date.
Also watch out for a great strawweight fight as BJJ specialist McKenzie Dern (-113) takes on Tecia Torres (-107).
Aljamain Sterling vs. Petr Yan 2
The first fight at UFC 259 between caused a lot of controversy as Yan ended the fight with an illegal knee that saw him lose his belt to Aljo. Yan is keen on getting his bantamweight belt back from Aljo and wants to make a statement by finishing him again but this time legally. There is bad blood between the two fighters and we expect this fight to be a barn burner.
The champ Aljo goes in as a heavy underdog as Yan dominated him during the first fight and we expect things to go Yan’s way once again on Saturday night.
Current odds: Aljamain Sterling (+375) / Petr Yan (-475)
