UFC – Ultimate Fighting Championship
* Odds have been provided by Bovada and are accurate as of 02/06/2021
Gane has a perfect 8-0 record and has been very impressive in the UFC. The former training partner of UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou has established himself as a serious heavyweight contender in this division. He will now face his biggest test in the UFC as he fights the Russian giant Alexander Volkov.
Gane goes in as the betting favorite with odds of 20/33 (-165) while Volkov is the underdog with odds of 27/20 (+135). Gane’s last fight was in Feb 2021 when he faced the dangerous Jairzinho Rozenstruik in his first ever Main Event fight in the UFC. Gane ended up winning the fight by decision but it wasn’t a great performance by Gane as he was criticized for being over cautious and not doing enough with the platform he was given.
The Frenchman has promised to be a lot more aggressive in his fight against Volkov and he will have to be as Volkov is a fighter who will look for the finish. We are going to bet on Volkov because he is a lot more experienced and also has the height to make it a problem for Gane to win.
Co-Main Event: Boser vs. OSP
OSP is moving up again to heavyweight to fight Tanner Boser who fought as recently as June 5, 2021. Boser had a tough three round fight against Sweden’s Ilir Latifi and ended up losing by decision. He is taking a short notice fight against OSP and it’s hard to tell if the short turnaround will work in favour of Boser or against him.
Boser goes in as the betting favorite with odds of 10/17 (-165) while OSP has odds of 7/5 (+135). We are going to put our money on Boser to win.
Some of the other fights you should watch out for include Andre Fili vs. Daniel Pineda and Tim Means vs. Nicolas Dalby.
