Thiago Santos has a win over currently UFC lightheavyweight champ Jan Blachowicz but has lost his last three fights. His losing skid started after he fought for the title and lost to Jon Jones in 2019. He lost the next two fights to Glover Teixeira and Alexander Rakic. Santos goes into this fight under pressure but is still the betting favorite with odds of 1.64.
Johnny Walker was being built up as the next big star in the UFC before he lost a couple of fights. He bounced back in his last fight with a win over Ryan Spann in Sep 2020 and is now looking to beat Santos and take his number 5 ranking. Walker is the betting underdog with odds of 2.30.
We are going to put our money on Santos because we think he has a better chin than Walker.
Two fights you should definitely not miss is a welterweight fight between Alex Oliveira (2.50) vs. Niko Price (1.54) and a lightheavyweight scrap between Misha Cirkunov (2.25) and Krzysztof Jotko (1.66). We have our money on Price and Cirkunov.
Co-Main Event: Kevin Holland vs. Kyle Daukaus
Kevin Holland made the headlines in 2020 when he 5 fights in a row. He has had a poor run in 2021 losing his last two fights as Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori exposed his poor ground game. Holland has been training at AKA and did some work with Daniel Cormier.
Holland is the betting favorite with odds of 1.58 while his opponent Daukaus has odds of 2.40. This is going to be a tough match for Holland and his ground game will get tested because Daukaus likes to take people down and submit them. We are going to put our money on Daukaus for this one as we 5 months is not enough time in our opinion to make huge changes in your ground game.
