Jack Hermansson vs. Sean Strickland
This is going to be an interesting Main Event as Hermansson is an average striker and a great submission artist while Strickland prefers to strike and does not have a ground game as strong as the Joker. What Strickland does have is great cardio and if he can push the fight past the 3rd round, he will have the advantage as Hermansson has shown in the past that his cardio can fade as the fight progresses.
Strickland was set to fight former UFC middleweight champ Luke Rockhold but the fight fell through after Rockhold got injured. Strickland knows that Hermansson will look to take him down and win the fight by submission but is confident that his takedown defence will hold up.
If Hermansson or Strickland ends up winning the fight by TKO or submission, they will definitely push for a title shot against the UFC middleweight champ. Current champ Israel Adesanya is set to defend his title on Feb 12 against former champ Robert Whittaker. The next two weeks will determine what the next UFC middleweight title fight will look like!
Current odds: Jack Hermansson (+178) / Sean Strickland (-220)
A total of 13 fights are set to take place on this UFC Fight Night card provided everyone makes weight and no one tests positive.
The co-main event will feature another interesting middleweight bout between exciting prospect Punahele Soriano (-200) and the undefeated Nick Maximov (+157) in what should be a striking fest. Another fight that you must not miss is a welterweight bout between the impressive and undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov (-240) and Carlston Harris (+195).
There is also a must watch fight on the prelims that is slipping under the radar. Hakeem Dawodu (-185) will take on Mike Trizano (+150) in the featherweight division. This fight has the potential to be fight of the night, so don’t miss this one.
