Derek Brunson vs. Kevin Holland
Derek Brunson had a fantastic win over rising and upcoming star Edmen Shahbazyan on August 2020. Brunson is ranked 7th in the middleweight division and at 37 years, he is looking to have one final run at putting together a title run. He will have to go through the number 10th ranked Kevin ‘Big Mouth’ Holland.
Holland has been taunting Brunson for the last few weeks on social media, trying to get under his skin and play mind games. It does not look like that approach has worked on Brunson so far but we will have to wait till the two fighters face off to see whether Brunson is in control of his emotions.
If Brunson can push the fight into the fourth and fifth rounds, he will have a better chance of winning as Holland has never gone five rounds in the UFC. We would agree with the bookmakers and back Holland to win as we don’t think Brunson will last 5 rounds.
Current odds: Derek Brunson (+145) / Kevin Holland (-175)
Gregor Gillespie vs. Brad Riddell
Gregor Gillespie is returning after a year’s absence after being brutally KO by Kevin Lee. He has a tough challenge in Kiwi Brad Riddell who is the underdog whilst Gillespie is considered to be the favorite.
We believe Gillespie’s superior wrestling skills will be too much for Riddell on the ground and Gillespie will win.
Current odds: Gregor Gillespie (-250) / Brad Riddell (+195)
Aussie Tai Tuivasa (-210) is the favorite to win against Don’Tale Mayes (+170). Tuivasa is coming off a good win over Stefan Struve and will want to have an impressive win over Don’Tale Mayes to show the heavyweight division that he has fixed the weaknesses in his mental and technical game.
Trevin Giles who has a 13-2 record will open the preliminary card when he takes on the undefeated Roman Dolidze. Giles is the underdog with odds of +115 while Dolidze is the favorite with odds of -145. We predict that both Tai Tuivasa and Roman Dolidze to win their fights.
