Australia are under pressure as they head into the third T20 against the West Indies on July 13 at the Darren Sammy Stadium in Gros Islet. The Aussies have travelled to the West Indies to play a five match T20 series followed by a three match ODI series.
Australia have lost the first two T20 games and must win the third T20 in order to keep the series alive. The Aussies were completely outplayed in the first two T20s and will really need to pick themselves up in the third T20.

A number of key Australian players including opening batsman David Warner, former captain Steven Smith and vice-captain Pat Cummins decided to skip this tour due to personal reasons or injuries. However there is still a lot of experience in this Aussie squad, especially in the bowling department as they have Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood and Adam Zampa who are key bowlers for the Aussies in the T20 format.
The problem for Australia is that their key bowlers have struggled and their batting hasn’t fired so far. Aaron Finch does have a lot of experience in the middle-order but most of the batsmen are all-rounders and not pure batsmen. Finch has to rely on Mitch Marsh, Dan Christian and Moises Henriques to play consistently for the Aussies to get big runs.
With question marks on both the batting and bowling departments, Australia could not only end up losing the series but are in danger of suffering a series whitewash which will be very embarrassing for the Aussies.
The West Indies go in as betting favorites for the third T20 with odds of 4/5 while Australia are the underdogs with odds of 1/1. Kieron Pollard and his men have done a great job to strange the Aussies and build the pressure with each T20.
Pollard will push hard to win the third T20 and secure the series. The West Indies captain has enough experience to know that if they give the Aussies a chance to bounce back in the third T20, the momentum could change very quickly.
The key players for the West Indies going into the third T20 are L Simmons, A Russell and Kieron Pollard. The Aussies will depend heavily on their captain Aaron Finch and the experience of M Starc to bail them out.
