NFL Power Rankings

The last two days we have covered teams from #32#11

So without further ado we reveal the final rankings… Is your team ranked #1

#10 Minnesota Vikings (6-4-1)

The Vikings are underrated, and they’ll continue to be underrated. They do have their limitations in offense and were just bullied by the Bears D, but this is a decent team which plays defense really well, and runs and passes adequately. This stable team could lack the ability to make big plays though.

#9 Philadelphia Eagles (5-6)

The Eagles are suffering from a Superbowl hangover, and since they’re the current winners, everyone wants to prove a point when playing against them and take them down. But despite some blunders, the Eagles are still among the more talented teams in the league, and Carson Wentz can regain his old form at any moment. Don’t be surprised if the Eagles wake up.

#8 Baltimore Ravens (6-5)

The Ravens are better than people think. They’re #1 in overall defense, and in offense they just made a switch to an insanely talented quarterback / running back blend Lamar Jackson who could be the best thing this league has seen in years. There is no team in this league the Ravens can’t beat.

#7 Seattle Seahawks (6-5)

The Seahawks, especially Russell Wilson, enjoy playing against big teams. The giant-killing Seahawks have a difficult schedule but they’re still chasing a playoff spot. This team has grit and that’s sometimes the only thing that matters in this league. They’re run-first and look like a team from some bygone era, but at the same time they look more serious than some of the flashy offensive teams.

#6 Kansas City Chiefs (9-2)

Patrick Mahomes is the hottest quarterback in the league right now, and the Chiefs are arguably the best offensive team, though Saints may have a thing or two to say about this. Defense is a problem as Kansas City don’t play it, they’re ranked 28th in total defense. While the Chiefs are absolutely stunning in offense, they can’t be considered a serious team for as long as they don’t play any D. The good teams in this league can all beat them – as was evident when they lost to the Rams.

#5 Chicago Bears (8-3)

It’s a bit of a surprise to see the Bears this high up the list, but they could possibly be ranked much higher, and they could be a Superbowl sleeper. We’re just not used to seeing Bears play this well, but their rush defense is second to none, pass defense isn’t bad either, and we’re still waiting for quarterback Mitch Trubisky to gain some experience and to be let loose by the offensive coordinator. Bears are really good, and Trubisky’s inexperience is the only question mark, but this is a talented quarterback.

#4 Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3-1)

The reason why Steelers aren’t ranked higher was visible for all to see in their last game, when all Roethlisberger had to do to tie the game at Denver was to throw a touchdown from three or four attempts in the red zone. He threw an interception. This team is among the best teams in football, but clutch plays are a constant problem, same as Mike Tomlin’s play calling. Let’s call Steelers a great football team that still finds a way to lose a game.

#3 New England Patriots (8-3)

Despite the blunder against the Titans, the Patriots still look like the most serious and most well-coached team in the league. Because they are. While others developed good offenses and/or good defenses, they’re unproven in big games and in playoffs and have yet to find out what they’re made of.

#2 Los Angeles Rams (10-1)

The Rams picked up where they left off last season, and are showing zero signs of regressing in any part of the game of football. That means this is a consistent team and Sean McVay is a great coach who can only make this team better. Todd Gurley II is so good that in comparison Jared Goff isn’t looking good anymore – and Goff is fourth in passer rating and QBR. This is one good football team, but the true tests will come in playoff.

#1 New Orleans Saints (10-1)

The Saints are so impressive, and can seemingly put up almost 50 points whenever they feel like it. It remains to be seen how will they perform against strong teams and how will they perform when it matters, in the playoffs, as the game is a bit different then. But at this particular moment in time, the Saints are the hottest team in football.
