Belgium vs. Portugal
Date: Sunday 27th June
Kick Off: 21:00 (CEST)
This is definitely one of the most anticipated matches in the round of 16 (apart from the eye catching game on Tuesday) as current Euro champions Portugal take on a very talented Belgium side. Portugal scraped through after securing a draw against France in their last game and know they need to push harder if they are going to get through Belgium.
Portugal goes in as the underdogs with odds of 3.00 while Belgium are the favorites with odds of 2.45. Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has done the bulk of the scoring for his team and mostly through penalties. Belgium needs to make sure they don’t commit any errors in the penalty box and keep Ronaldo at bay.
Belgium will once again be looking to Romelu Lukaku to work his magic and take them through to the quarter-finals.
Our football experts think Belgium will win.
Netherlands vs. Czech Republic
Date: Sunday 27th June
Kick Off: 18:00 (CEST)
This game could turn out to be a really exciting game even though Netherlands are the heavy betting favorites with odds of 1.66 while the Czech Republic has odds of 5.50. The Czech Republic tends to raise their game when they are heavy underdogs and might have a few surprises in store for Netherlands.
We are going to play it safe though and back Netherlands for the win.
England vs. Germany
Date: Tuesday 29th June
Kick Off: 18:00 (CEST)
This game would have definitely been worth a mouth-watering final meetup but as two of the oldest rivals in the competition will do battle instead in the round of 16. Germany have not played as well as they should have in Euro 2020 and hence go in as slight underdogs with odds of 2.90 while England are the favorites with odds of 2.50. If Germany can get their act together and mount a strong offense, they can send England packing.
Given the current form of each team during Euro 2020, we are going to back England to go through.
