Bet365 has announced that it will be relocating its betting operations to Gibraltar. The UK owned betting firm, Bet365 decided to take the move after its recent structural review. They further announced that Gibraltar will become its licensing hub operating its services and products under the license granted by Gibraltar.
However, Bet365 will maintain its headquarters in UK, Stoke-On-Trent where it employs many residences. The Existing employees in UK will continue delivering services to Gibraltar Hub and these services include customer support, technical support, and contracted marketing services.
The relocation of Bet365 to Gibraltar will see the firm creating up to 150 jobs locally. Sources say that the major reason for Bet365 relocating outside UK has been spearheaded by the implementation of UK’s new gambling act that is set to be made effective as from the 1st of November 2014.
