Can Steve Kerr Turn A New Look GSW Team Into NBA Champ? July 16, 2019 Adrian Sterne https://plus.google.com/u/0/107032931670136448831

The Golden State Warriors has been the most dominant team in NBA history for the last five years.

They made it to the last five finals (2015 to 2019) and won three out of those five finals (2015, 2017 and 2018) under the leadership of head coach Steve Kerr.

The Warriors has started the last four seasons as the favourites to win the NBA Championship because the team had succeeded in keeping its core group of players together while adding some impressive names each season.

They will not start as the favourites for the 2019-2020 season because the Warriors no longer have that core group together and will feature a new team. All Star Kevin Durant has moved to the New York Knicks, DeMarcus Cousins has signed with the LA Lakers and Andre Iguodala is now a member of the Memphis Grizzlies.

The three core players that remain with the Warriors are Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. While that is still a strong unit, bear in mind that Klay Thompson will miss most of the season as he is recovering from an ACL tear.

Can Steve Kerr Work His Magic?

Steve Kerr is tasked with the responsibility of regrouping and leading a new Warrior’s team which features the addition of D’Angelo Russell. Will Kerr be able to work his magic and lead the Warriors to another NBA final? We will have to wait and see how the Warriors start the season but it does look a daunting task considering how strong the New York Knicks and LA Lakers have become during the off-season trades.

There are many who believe that Kerr was able to have a good run as head coach because he had such a strong team. The next season is going to be a big test for Kerr and his coaching staff.

For now the Warriors head coach is not losing any sleep over the next season and the challenges ahead. He has preferred to focus his attention on a number of different matters ranging from gun control to President Donald Trump.

Steve Kerr took to Twitter to send a message to Congress and asked them to pull up the President for what he termed as ‘racist’ tweets for new congresswomen who come from a minority group!
