Cristiano Ronaldo had a reputation of being one of the world’s most eligible bachelors for a number of years. The Portugal captain and Juventus star forward is reported to be off the market as he has gone ahead and married his girl-friend Georgina Rodriguez in a quiet ceremony in Morocco. This news was reported by Novella 2000, a gossip magazine in Italy.
Those who follow Ronaldo on Instagram will be very familiar with Georgina Rodriguez as there are a number of pictures of her and Ronaldo’s kids. The two share a daughter in Alana who is two years old and raise Ronaldo’s three other children.
Ronaldo took a liking to Georgina after he broke up with Russian model Irina Shayk back in 2015. He met Georgina in a luxury clothes store in Madrid and the two started dating before she moved into his luxury home in Madrid when he used to play for Real Madrid. The couple now has a beautiful house in Turin, Italy as Ronaldo is now playing for Juventus.
There has been no confirmation from Ronaldo on the wedding rumours and players close to him say nothing happened. However, Ronaldo’s mom has spoken out in the past about Georgina and claimed that she is a very calm person and a future daughter-in-law.
Earlier this year, Georgina denied rumours that the two were engaged but did admit that just like every other couple, she wanted to get married and becomes Mrs. Ronaldo. Novella 2000 also claim that Ronaldo has made a trip to with his legal team to Madeira to amend his will to include Georgina since she is not officially part of the family.
While Ronaldo’s private life has been making headlines for a while now, there are also rumours floating around that he is not very happy at Juventus and is considering a move to his former club Manchester United. Reports suggest that if Juventus do not end up winning the Champions League Trophy this year, Ronaldo will leave Juventus.
The relationship between Ronaldo and Maurizio Sarri who manages Juventus appears to be strained and this could be another reason why Ronaldo is looking to move on. Juventus also appear to be making plans as they are in talks to get Paul Pogba transferred from Man United and also bring on Kylian Mbappe who currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain.
