Some of the top musicians in America are huge fans of the NBA and NFL and often get VIP tickets to see the game and gain access to start players. We have seen Beyonce and Jay-Z as well as Rihanna at numerous NBA games, Justin Bieber walk out Floyd Mayweather to one of his fights.
Rapper Lil Wayne was recently present when New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr was being interviewed by ESPN. The interview was pretty frank and Beckham Jr had some interesting comments to make including saying that he felt held back and wasn’t being given the opportunities he wanted on a daily basis.
The ESPN interview caused a lot of controversy as Giants quarterback Eli Manning was approached for his views on Beckham’s comments. Instead of confirming or denying those comments, Manning decided to take a comedic approach and state that he did not spend time watching Lil Wayne and hence had no idea what was said during the interview.
Reporter Frank Isola also went on record to criticize Beckham Jr. for having Lil Wayne present during the interview and said it undermined the importance of the interview and his comments.

Those comments did not go down well with Lil Wayne who decided to send out a message to Eli Manning who is from New Orleans, the same state that Lil Wayne comes from. The rapper said that he was not only a fan of Manning but also stood up for him whenever he heard someone bad mouth the NFL star.
In a statement, Lil Wayne said
And here you talk about you don’t watch Lil Wayne much. That’s fine. I’m cool with you, I don’t care what you watch. But you know, this is hometown love, man. You ain’t gotta do me like that. I didn’t say anything bad about you, man
Lil Wayne wasn’t so respectful with his comments for Frank Isola. His message to the New York reporter bordered on a threat as the rapper pointed out that he has spent time on Rikers Island. Lil Wayne said he did not know much about Isola and was certain Isola did not know much about him and the best thing for him to do was not speak his name again!
This isn’t the first time that celebrities and sports stars have feuded. Some of them include Bieber and Mayweather who have since fallen out and 50 Cent and Conor McGregor.
