FIFA WWC To See Hosts Against Favourites For A Semi-Final Place June 26, 2019 Adrian Sterne https://plus.google.com/u/0/107032931670136448831

The United States went into the 2019 Women’s World Cup as one of the favourites to lift the trophy.

They are the number 1 ranked team in women’s football and had a tough round of 16 match against Spain which they won 2-1 to book themselves a place in the quarter-finals.

USA will take on hosts France on June 28 at the Parc des Princes stadium where the atmosphere is expected to be electric. France is the number 4 ranked team in the World but you can bet that they are going to play like they are the team to beat in front of their home fans.

Many expect this quarter-final match between USA and France to be as good as the World Cup final as arguably the two best teams in the competition face each other in a knock-out game. France made it to the quarter-finals after a gruelling match against Brazil whom they knocked out 2-1.

Team USA had been on a tear as they entered 2019 having a record of 28 unbeaten game. France broke that record in January when they defeated them 3-1. However, we must point out that it was an exhibition game and Team USA rested a number of their senior players including co-captain Megan Rapinoe.

Ticket Prices Soar For USA Game

Team USA might be the favourites to win but they know that it is going to be one tough match and they will need all of their players to be on top of their game. Megan Rapinoe knows that they need to pull up their socks and play a lot better than they did against Spain or face the possibility of going home.

In a statement, Rapinoe said

This is the best game. This is what everybody wanted. I think we want it. It is going to be totally awesome. This is what everybody wants, and these are the biggest games that you kind of dream about as a kid.

Ticket prices for the USA vs. France game has skyrocketed and the cheapest ticket is listed at $295 while the most expensive ticket is over $11,000. Ticket prices have only gone up for this game as the other quarter final between England and Norway have ticket prices starting from $33 and the most expensive ticket being just $170.
