According to USA TODAY Sports, a person who is familiar with the deal has confirmed that 29-year-old two-times Pro Bowler Tre’Davious White will be inking a one-year contract with the team.
The information was offered on condition of anonymity since they are not authorized to discuss the deal worth $10 million.
This offseason, the player who was named a first-team All-Pro in 2019 thanks to his league lead in interceptions had to bid goodbye to the Buffalo Bills.
The news came after White spent seven seasons in upstate New York.
His departure from the Buffalo Bills was part of a strategic move that was necessary to help the team get under the salary cap prior to March 13, which was the start date of the new league year.
White, who had been dealing with a series of injuries in the past three seasons, has played a combined 21 games.
Last year, he suffered a torn Achilles injury that put an end to his season.
