The 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) is currently in full-swing and cricket fans love the fast paced T20 action that is taking place.
IPL action takes place on a daily basis and so far things have gone well at IPL 2022 with the IPL bubble holding up.
Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been the two most dominant teams in IPL history with MI winning 5 IPL championships and CSK winning 3 IPL championships. CSK are also the current defending champions while Mumbai Indians are the 2020 IPL championship winners.
Mumbai Indians have had a terrible start to their IPL campaign losing their first 5 games while CSL lost their first four games and registered their first win in their fifth IPL outing. CSK currently sit in 9th place on the IPL points table while Mumbai Indians are stuck in 10th place.
Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were the two new IPL franchises that entered this season and both teams have done really well so far. LSG are sitting comfortably in the top four teams on the IPL points table while GT is just below in 5th place.
LSG and GT have played great cricket and it does not come as a surprise as they have put together a quality playing XI. Most IPL fans had no idea how these two teams would perform but based on their results so far, they look like strong contenders to make the 2022 IPL playoffs.
The other team that has impressed this season are the Rajasthan Royals (RR). The Royals have gone accustomed to being at the bottom of the IPL points table in the last few seasons as their performance has not been consistent. They made some significant changes to their squad for IPL 2022 and those changes have worked well for RR.
RR was the first team to win the inaugural IPL championship and it looks like they have a very strong chance to make the playoffs if they continue their form this season. The three teams that we think can win the 2022 IPL championship are the RR, GT and LSG!
