It is that time of the year again when the top college basketball teams battle it out in the ever popular NCAA tournament.
The tournament which is known as ‘March Madness’ will thrill basketball fans in America as the best young talent in the country will be on display as they look to take their respective team and college to winning the NCAA Championship.
There are 68 teams that will take part in the NCAA tournament which starts on March 19 and finishes on 8 April.
Basketball fans will be entertained with March Madness over the next three weekends and the first weekend will throw up some non-stop action as 48 games are scheduled to take place in what will be a single-elimination game.
That means if you lose, you go home and don’t get a second chance. This forces every team in the NCAA to be on top of their game and field their best players throughout the tournament. They have a lot to play for apart from the NCAA championship trophy as NBA scouts will be keeping a close watch to spot and finalize which players they want to bring over to the NBA.
The Fumble
With 68 teams battling it out, it can be difficult to predict who will make it to the finals and who will win the tournament. However, sports bettors will be eager to know which teams have the edge as they will want to put down money on these teams and see if they can turn out a profit.
The Duke Blue Devils is certainly one of the teams to watch out for and that is primarily because they have the talented Zion Williamson in their squad. Whenever he has played 30 minutes or more for his side, they have won the majority of games and have only lost 2 so far. While Williamson is a major factor, Duke also has a strong squad with the likes of RJ Barrett and Reddish.
This is a very talented squad that is coached by Roy Williams. They have a number of legitimate NBA picks in their squad and if they play like they can, there is no reason why they cannot go all the way. Some of the players to watch out for include Cameron Johnson, Coby White and Luke Maye.
Two more teams to watch out for during March Madness include the Gonzaga Bulldogs and Virginia Cavaliers.
