Tyson Fury and Deontay WilderThe most anticipated heavyweight fight in the last two decades between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury had to be called off as Fury’s former opponent Deontay Wilder won an arbitration that has now made it mandatory for Fury to fight Wilder first.

Tyson Fury has now signed his part of the contract to fight Deontay Wilder and will defend his WBC belt on July 24 in Las Vegas. This will be the third consecutive fight between Fury and Wilder. The first one ended in a draw, the second Fury KO’d Wilder and the third will bring to an end the fierce rivalry between the two.

Fury had the option of paying Wilder walk away money to fight Anthony Joshua first but the Gypsy King decided that he was not going to part with $20 million to get Wilder to step aside.

Fury vs. Wilder 3 – Betting Odds

Fury starts out as a huge betting favorite with Bet365 giving him odds of 1.28 while Wilder is the underdog with odds of 3.50. Tyson Fury has already promised his fans another KO of Wilder and then said he will deal with Anthony Joshua. Fury has already started his training camp and there is footage of him training alongside Nick Diaz who is one of the bigger names in the sports of mixed martial arts (MMA).

Wilder hasn’t said much in the lead up to this third fight which is quite unlike him as he has been very vocal during the last two fights. Wilder is busy training hard and wants to avenge his loss to Fury. If Wilder ends up defying the odds and beating Fury especially by KO, he could once again open talks for him to step up and face Anthony Joshua instead of Fury.

Wilder has since fired his old trainer whom he accused of spiking his water before his second fight against Fury. Wilder also accused the Gypsy King of having something in his glove and cheating during the fight. If Fury beats Wilder in July, he is keen on fighting AJ in September or October 2021.

Anthony Joshua Furious With Fury

Anthony Joshua who generally does not like to talk smack on social media, went after Fury for backing out of his fight once the deal was signed. AJ accused Fury of stringing him along and fooling the fans into thinking that their fight was really going to take place.

Fury responded by calling AJ out for a bareknuckle fights but that’s not going to happen. Fans will have to wait and see how Fury vs. Wilder players on July 24.
