The Main Event will be headlined by a bantamweight fight between former title challenger Marlon Moraes (+118) vs. Cory Sandhagen (-138). Moraes is coming off a split decision win at UFC245 against Jose Aldo but many believe that Moraes lost the fight. He has a lot to prove in this fight and a convincing win could put him in the reckoning against for a title shot.
Sandhagen ran hot in the UFC and was on a 7 fight win streak until his last fight when he got submitted by Aljamain Sterling. Sandhagen was surprised the UFC gave him a crack at Moraes as he knows a good win could also put him in line for a potential title shot.
While bettors have Moraes as the underdog, you might want to go ahead and back him as he has both the stand-up and ground skills to end this fight rather quickly.
The co-main event will see Edson Barboza (-255) take on submission specialist Makwan Amirkhani (+215). The bookies have the veteran as the favorite because he is definitely the more experienced and better striker of the two. Amirkhani also took this fight on short notice after Sodiq Yusuff pulled out.
The best chance for Amirkhani to beat Barboza is to take him to the ground and submit him. This is going to be difficult since Barboza has some of the best takedown defence in the game and is also good on the ground.
There are a number of other exciting fights on this card which MMA bettors will want to keep a close watch on. Heavyweights Big Ben Rothwell will take on Marcin Tybura in what could be a slug fest. Rothwell is the favorite with odds of -151 while Tybura goes in as the underdog with odds of +131.
Another heavyweight clash on the main card will see Tom Aspinall (-625) take on Alan Baudot (+450). On the prelims, one of the top fights will see the undefeated Impa Kasanganay (-240) fight Joaquin Buckley (+205).
