MMA fans cannot wait for UFC241 which will take place on August 18 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
The UFC has put together a stacked card for this event which will be headlined by UFC Heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier (DC) vs. former champ Stipe Miocic (2).
Sportsbooks have Cormier (-140) as the betting favourite as DC has never lost at heavyweight. Cormier won the heavyweight championship by defeating Miocic in just under 3 minutes in the first round back in July 2018.
Stipe Miocic who many consider the greatest heavyweight champ by reason of title defenses has not fought since his loss as he was adamant on getting the rematch.

DC has made it clear that this could very well be his last professional fight as he wants to go out on top. Win or lose, DC could call it a day as the only other fight that would prevent him from retiring is getting a third crack at UFC Lightheavyweight champ Jon Jones.
Jones is the only fighter to have beat Cormier and DC is keen on avenging his loss if the money is right or he claims he is happy to walk into the sunset and never fight again as he has multiple business ventures outside the Octagon.
The co-main event could turn out to be the people’s main event as Nathan Diaz makes his return to the Octagon after a three year hiatus. His last fight was his rematch with Conor McGregor which he lost by decision. Diaz is a fan favourite and will have a tough match on his hands as he takes on Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis who Diaz considers one of the coolest fighters on the roster – which is why he accepted the fight.
The main card will also feature a middleweight fight between Yoel Romero and rising superstar Paulo Costa. The two were scheduled to headline a fight night card in the past but that fell through due to injuries from both sides. There has been a lot of thrash talk on social media between the two fighters and both will look for an impressive finish as it could put them in line for a title shot.
Some of the other exciting fights on the main card include S Yusuff vs. G Benitez and D Brunson vs. I Heinisch.
